Check out the videos! They are a great way to see what our race weekends are all about. Race Weekends are fun and everyone on the team competes. We have kids rolling over the finish line near the front, back and everywhere in between. Riders are placed in category based on grade, skill and gender (Girls Freshman, Sophomore, JV (Junior & Seniors), Varsity) and (Boys Freshman, Sophomore, JV (Juniors & Seniors), Varsity.

This Video from the Idaho league provides new families with a lot of information about NICA, our national organization, and all that goes into our Team programs.

Girls on Bikes

Girls have 1.3 million fewer opportunities to play high school sports than boys. The National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA) and Emily Batty are here to change that. Learn more: www.nationalmtb.org

This was filmed a few years back with girls from the Oakland Composite teams.

More than a sport

Mountain biking is for everyone. You can be slow, you can be fast, you can be experienced, you can want a new challenge, you can simply want to be around friends. Whatever you want to get out of it, mountain biking gives more in return. Whatever level of ability, mountain biking changes lives. The National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA) is the governing body for middle and high school mountain biking in the United States. The idea is that mountain biking can be about more than athletics, and NICA believes in helping student athletes develop strong bodies, minds, and characters. In 2016, Trek donated $1 million to NICA. You can make a difference. To learn how you can volunteer or start a team or league in your community, visit nationalmtb.org.
